Nigerian music star Runtown ends contract with label following death threats, Unpaid Royalties and More

Runtown responds to Ericmany, the record label that he is currently signed to, with letters from him and his attorneys claiming that he has never been paid royalties from digital records sales by Ericmany. According to the attached letters below, Ericmany boss Okwudili Umenyiora has also been alleged to threaten Runtown’s life on several occasions.

Runtown’s Record Label EricManny slams him with an Injunction Preventing him from Performing, Using his Stage Name & More

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has slammed an injunction against the rising musical artiste Douglas Jack-Agu aka “Runtown“. The injunction prevents him from performing at any event or any form of recording for the time being unless with the approval of Ericmany Limited.

Runtown is signed under the Ericmany Entertainment label that presently holds the copyright to all his music. He was sued in the Federal High Court by Ericmany on allegations that he signs up, concludes and attends musical shows without the knowledge of the label.

Runtown and his lawyers have also come forward with their own side of the story.

Wizkid Involved In Another Messy Scandal (Details)

Wizkid is allegedly in a new scandal, and this time, it’s massive.

The pop star was paid to perform at an event -Safari night 3- organised by a certain Humble Entertainment in Leicester, UK on Thursday, May 26 2015.

However, according to the organisers, he didn’t show up.

A statement issued by the company, said, “despite going through all the necessary requirements to book Wizkid which included signing a contract and paying the required fee, we have been let down by the booking/management parties.”
