An 84-year-old man and the love of his life, 82, have finally married after dating for 44 years. Colin Dunn and Sally Smith first met in 1972 behind the bar of a social club Colin visited every weekend after work.

Sally, who had four children from a previous marriage, agreed to go out with him – and they haven’t looked back since. Though they have always been deeply in love, the couple only got engaged last year.

The couple who have been living together since, raised four kids, and watched as their family grew to include 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. After a couple of heartbreaking losses within the family though, Sally and Colin decided to take getting married seriously.
