Two Commercial Buses In Fatal Head-on Collision On Lagos Ibadan Expressway, 26 Killed, 11 Injured
The bodies of the 26 people whose lives were cut short in a fatal bus accident on the dreaded Lagos Ibadan expressway earlier today have been deposited at the mortuary.
The fatal crash involving two 18-seater buses happened around 7am today while one of the buses was trying to overtake the other at the quarry side where Julius Berger constitutions company handling the rehabilitation project made road diversion.
An eyewitness said the bus coming from Lagos collided with the other coming from Ibadan while speeding.
The impact of the collision reportedly caused the vehicles to burst into flames, killing almost all the passengers.

11 passengers who escaped death by a whisker are currently receiving treatment at UCH Ibadan while the burnt bodies of the victims have been transferred to Adeoyo Hospital mortuary in Yemetu Ibadan.
Oyo State Police Commission, Abiodun Odude who visited the scene of the tragedy said investigation into the accident has begun.
