A lady, identified as Bosede Akinlalu, has been murdered by some yet-to-be-identified persons in her parents’ farm in Ode Aye, in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to Punch Metro, it was gathered that the 24-year-old young woman had gone to the farm along with two men on Friday when the suspected assassins attacked them.
A source said, “When they got to the farm, they met armed men. On sighting them, Akinlalu and her companions fled, but they were chased by the gunmen.
“While the two men escaped, the lady was unlucky as she was attacked and killed.
“When the men got home and reported what happened to them, some youths were mobilised to the farm, where they saw the lifeless body of Akinlalu with machete cuts on her body.”
The Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident, adding that the command had commenced investigation into the matter.
He said, “We have not made any arrest yet, but investigation has commenced; we will definitely get the killers.”
Joseph advised residents of the state to always be security conscious.
