44 Children Rescued From Suspected Child Traffickers In Kaduna [PHOTOS]

Kaduna state FRSC officials have arrested suspected traffickers, including 44 minors, on the Kaduna-Zaira road.

A statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, said a Fiat Bus, popularly known as J5 (XC 532 ZAR), was impounded for overloading, adding that the occupant’s unsatisfactory response raised the suspicion of officials on patrol.

They claimed to be heading for a church programme at a location they could neither name nor describe.

The bus driver, Dauda Ezekiel, from Gubuchi in Makarfi Local Government, said he was hired to transport the minors.  

The Sector commander, who got news of the arrest as soon as the vehicle was impounded, alerted the commissioner of Police, after which the vehicle and its occupants were handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for investigation.
