Morocco’s cultural city of Fez is home to what is believed to be the oldest university ever known and still exists to date. University of Al-Qarawiyin was founded by a woman, Fatima al-Fihri 1,100 years ago. UNESCO and Guinness World Records have credited the University to be the oldest existing and first degree educations institution in the world.
