Popular actress, Liz Anjorin, was the butt of jokes on social media on Saturday, when a video of her pet dogs disrupting her photo session went viral online.
In the video, Liz was trying to take a picture when the two dogs started barking ferociously at each other, distracting her from taking the picture.
She admonished the dogs to stop being jealous and let her take her snapshot in peace. She added the caption, “Jealous pretty ruin photo session. They behave like human. #Pretty#Tboi#ceo#petlover.”
However, what caught the attention of people was the incorrect grammar she spoke while talking to the dogs, named Aaron and Pretty. She said, “Pretty, stop it.
Stop jealous!” The actress was mercilessly trolled by Nigerians who mocked her for not being able to construct correct sentences in English.
However, the actress appears not to be bothered by the attention the video has generated. In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she said, “What I actually posted was a three-minute video, but only a part of it was uploaded by some mischief makers.
I have about five dogs, but it’s only the two that appeared in the video that people really know. Good or bad, publicity is welcome. People will always talk about you, but the only thing that can make me bothered is if their comments put food on my table or add to my bank account. If it doesn’t do that, then I don’t care.”
“I have been putting up posts on serious issues and even talking about my forthcoming movie launch, but they did not generate as much traffic as the video of me playing with my pets. If Nigerians can put their energy together for something meaningful and positive, that will be okay.
Many of those who reacted to the video have not paid their house rent and school fees; they don’t even have money to feed themselves.
Many graduates cannot even speak correct English and they don’t have jobs. It is because of things like this that people don’t like helping Nigerian youths when they won’t stop focusing on irrelevant things. We are the problem of this great country.
Playing with my pets generated such attention yet the naira remains N500 to a dollar. Graduates are still searching for jobs like ceased menstruation, and brilliant people with big grammar are rotting at home with no jobs.
It means I am more important than Nigeria’s economic woes; thanks for calling me to order. My candid advice is please save your data and strength for 2baba’s rally or join the 15,000 youths that want to welcome President Buhari,” she spoke further.
