A recent study published in the Journal of S exual Medicine reveals that 33 percent of women say missionary is their favourite s*x position.
The researchers claim that guys also love the position to bits, as they claim that being on top typically lets them control the pace and therefore prolongs their orgasm experience.
“Most people don’t realise that because missionary allows for a lot of variation, it exposes your nerves to a wider range of sensations and is surprisingly orgasm-friendly,” says California-based licensed s*x therapist, Dr. Lori Buckley.
In addition, s exologists say missionary position makes for a more romantic atmosphere, as it allows both parties to be on a face-to-face posture, affording them to deliver as many tender kisses to each other as they desire, enabling them to display true affection in the process!
The missionary also enables for maximum body contact, while it’s one of the most favoured positions if you are trying to achieve pregnancy.
This is because, after ejaculation by the man on top, the sperm will slide downhill into the womb, thereby increasing the chances of becoming pregnant.
Also, according to a research by Women’s Health women really do not like these five s*x positions.
The worst of the positions is 69, which isn’t a huge surprise because it’s a logistical nightmare at the best of times. Women stated that it was too impersonal and that it was hard to give and receive pleasure at the same time. But aren’t women supposed to be better at multitasking?
Reverse cowgirl is unpopular, which may come as a relief to many men because the p*nis really isn’t meant to bend that way anyway.
“Reverse cowgirl may seem s exy and adventurous, but when you actually try to enter her, things might not fit the way you think they should,” Jen Landa, the author of The S*x Drive Solution for Women, told Men's Health.
Going on top isn’t doing it for most women either. The reason is obvious enough – many women feel pretty self-conscious as centre of attention, however much the man is clearly enjoying the view. Maybe this one's a winner with the lights off?
Most women do not enjoy doggy style. Women find this ever-romantic position impersonal and also painful, as gracefully put by Sara Gottfriend M.D., the author of The Hormone Cure: “The issue here is you may be ramming her cervix, which is why deep penetration is often more harmful than hot.”
