A popular Islamic cleric in Ogun state has been murdered.
35-year-old Sheik Yusuf Tanimola, the son of Sheikh Ahmad Olalekan Abdussalam (Khalifah Ipamuren of Ijebu Ode) was murdered alongside his 5 family members in the early hours of Tuesday the 16th of May 2017.
Though details of the murder were sketchy at the press time, it was learnt that some suspected hired killers carried out the attack at the home of the couple in Atiba area of Odogbolu Ogun state.
When the news filtered through town on Tuesday morning, residents were shocked to see their bodies in a pool of blood.
The younger brother of the Imam, Alfa Ishaaq Amzat-Salam said all the victims had been buried in accordance with Muslim rites.
