1. Tiwa Savage

In June, 2016, Tiwa Savage’s estranged husband Tunji Balogun popularly known as Teebillz took to social media to end their marriage, revealing messy family disputes. This prompted the songstress to grant an interview in which she said she was done with the marriage.

However, despite all the drama, Savage has been able to move her career up the ladder especially with her recent management deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation. Savage and Tee Billz have a son together.

2. Funke Akindele

In May, 2012, Funke Akindele popularly known as Jenifa married Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof and within one year the marriage ended. But strong lady that she is, the Jenifa star never allowed that to slow her down despite the criticisms that followed her marriage and its dissolution.

She went on to score high points with her TV series, Jenifa’s Diary, among other projects. Akindele recently remarried on August 23, 2016 to Abdulrasheed Bello popularly known as JJC Skillz. Wishing her all the best.

3. Monalisa Chinda

Nollywood actress Monalisa Chinda suffered a divorce from her husband Dejo Richards in 2009 after they had a daughter together. But the strong woman in Chinda did not allow that to stop her from climbing to the top of her career. She went ahead to be listed among the top actresses in Nollywood.

She also started a TV show called You and I. The beautiful actress on September 1, 2016 married her new beau Victor Tonye Coker in Greece.

4. Doris Simeon

Doris Simeon and ex-husband Daniel Ademinokan

Actress Doris Simeon was married to someone within the movie industry, Daniel Ademinokan. Fans their marriage was fairy tale, alas, it was all temporary.

They parted ways in 2011 after having a son together. Doris was initially affected by the breakup but has since moved on with her acting career. She also runs a beauty parlour.

5. Toke Makinwa

Media personality Toke Makinwa’s marriage packed up after 18 months when her husband, Maje Ayida, impregnated his ex-girlfriend.

The on-air-personality moved on with her life as if nothing happened, growing her vlog and shining at A-list parties like she has no care in the world.

6. Stephanie Okereke

Ex-beauty queen and top Nollywood actress Stephanie Linus Okereke married ex-Super Eagles defender, Chikelue Iloenyosi, in 2004 but the marriage crashed in 2007. The actress didn’t her subsequent separation and divorce get in the way of her success. She soon added producer and director to film industry cap.

Stephanie later remarried in April 2012 in France to Linus Idahosa shortly after a Lagos High Court had declared her 2004 marriage to Iloenyosi null and void.

7. Iyabo Ojo

This actress went into marriage quite young and left in her mid-20s after having two kids. Ojo has since gone ahead to up her game in Nollywood and also in the business world as she runs a beauty parlor alongside acting and producing.

8. Kate Henshaw

Kate Henshaw’s marriage to Roderick James Nuttal crashed after 12 years. The union produced a daughter. Kate did not hide in one corner licking her wounds but forged ahead with her life and career. Even when her house got burnt in 2015, she still survived it.

9. Ini Edo

Ini Edo and ex-husband Philip Ehiagwina

Ini Edo’s married her US-based ex-husband, Philip Ehiagwina, in November 2008 but the marriage broke down under six years. Edo has gone on to the top of her career, has a political appointment and owns a lounge in Lekki, Lagos.

10. Fathia Balogun

This actress was once married to her colleague in the industry Saidi Balogun. The marriage produced two children before it ended. Fathia, after her marriage broke, has gone on to become one of the most sought-after actresses in Yoruba movie industry.

11. Chika Ike

Chika Ike and her ex-husband Tony Ebiribi

This Nollywood actress got married in 2006 to Tony Ebiribi but the marriage ended after seven years in 2013. She has since left her broken marriage behind her as she now focuses on her thriving boutique business in Abuja and her acting career.
