Can you trace your entry into the movie industry?
I can say it was by accident that I joined the industry. When I left school in 1999, I had my National Youth Service Corps with Lagos State drama group at Animashaun and every Friday during community development service, all we did was sing, dance. I was actually one of those that laughed at those dancing and acting as being jobless. After a while I felt like I wanted to dance and sing even when I knew I didn’t have the voice, and it became fun for me. Later I had to go to those people I had laughed at, like Muyideen Oladapo. I joined his group but left afterwards because they were not my kind of people. Much as they sometimes called me for jobs, I never stayed with them. When they asked, I would tell them that I had other things to do aside acting. I later met late Enebeli Elebuwa at the National Theatre that was the beginning of the journey for me.
You have taste for fashion. How did it start?
I am crazy for shoes and clothes. I think I should show you a picture of my days in JSS three. My brother always got me two crop tops and a pair of jeans each time there was a party. He likes me a lot because I had A1 in Mathematics. They all wanted to make me happy because I was good academically. That was how I started this fashion thing and I must say I was a tomboy to the core.
Are you one of those that believe in if you have it, flaunt it?
Definitely, once you got it, you flaunt it, you just declare the glory of God in your life and your body.
And don’t you think flaunting it is not good?
My brother you are trying to ask me why I flaunt my boobs; I will tell you. First and foremost, I love fashion and glamour. When I see a cloth that I love very much, and it’s actually my size body-wise but small for my breast, what should I do? I buy and wear it. Everybody knows I have big boobs, but my body is very small, so at times I wear my actual size, it pushes my boobs up a bit and people mistake it for flaunting. Secondly my boobs are quite big so I should wear something that will make me comfortable; moreover, I sweat a lot, that’s why I wouldn’t wear long hair. I hate sweating, and it’s not everywhere you go that you get to see air conditioners. Beside ask anybody with big boobs what happens when you cage your boobs; you sweat too much and may contract cancer. You can’t make people comfortable while making yourself uncomfortable. There are times I wear turtle neck because the weather is cold, but when the weather is hot, I cannot wear it because my boobs will soak, and it will make me uncomfortable. Big boobs na serious stress, big wahala. More so I have full breast, wearing bra is tress, but I have no choice.
