Ayuba Wabba, the president of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has said the congress will next week review the indefinite nationwide strike against the hike in fuel price. Waaba was speaking on Political Platform, a Ray Power FM programme, which was monitored in Abuja.
He clarified that the NLC leadership will organise another meeting to review and evaluate the influence of the industrial action and see if the administration will change its decision to raise the pump price of petrol to N145.00 per litre. The president of the organisation defined as untrue the rumour that the congress has been invited to another round of negotiations with the Federal government, adding the NLC and the government keep the positions they held before the strike. Meanwhile, Wabba, said he could not give an exact date for the review of the strike, but gave the assurance that it will occur next week.
