A deadly and rare skin disease has left many kids in Kenya looking like a statue as it changes their skin, putting their lives in danger.

According to a report by Kenyans, a rare skin disease making children’s bodies seem like they are covered with scales has sent chills down the public’s spine.
It has been gathered that the deadly disease has affected a number of children in Wajir with one particular case touching the heart of Kenyans.
To create awareness of the disease, a twitter campaign with the harsh tag #BabyAbshir and #SaveWajirKids Abshir has been created.
It was also revealed that Baby Abshir who is one of the kids suffering from the severe skin disease was airlifted to Nairobi on Monday and taken to the Kenyatta National Hospital.
The 10-year old was born normal but the disease later affected his whole body leaving him crippled.
