It was a moment of sadness after a commercial motorcyclist a.k.a ‘Okada’ was crushed to death by a trailer in front of Gate 6 park, Micheal Okpara University (MOUAU), Umudike, Abia state. The accident which occurred on Wednesday, August 31, was said to have been caused by a trailer which lost its brake and crushed the Okada rider to death .
The Okada rider reportedly hit his head on the tarred road and broke his skull and died instantly even as on lookers rushed to the scene to render help.
Also involved in the accident was a commercial bus carrying about 16 passengers.
The bus was said to have been slightly hit by the trailer and the passengers were injured and were taken to the hospital while the corpse of the Okada rider was taken to the morgue by the police.
